Our Harford classes currently meet at Harford Community College.

Introduction to Historical Fencing

Thursdays: April 2nd - April 30th, 4:00-6:00pm

$350 per student, includes gear for use during class!

Learn the basics of historical fencing in this introductory course! Learn basic footwork, attacks and defenses, and the three main training weapons: foil, sabre, and epee. Plus receive a 1 week introduction to knife self-defense and single stick combat!

Theories and Tactics of Historical Fencing

Thursdays: April 2nd - May. 21st, 7:00-8:30pm

$200 per student, plus $50 gear rental if needed (paid to Iron Rose Fencing)

For students that have previously completed Introduction to Historical Fencing. Expand your knowledge, skills, and techniques in this intermediate class! Classes include group instructional time as well as time for open bouting with other students.

Intro To Great Stick Combat

Thursdays: April 23rd- May 21st, 6:00-7:00pm

$75 per student, $20 gear rental if needed (paid to Iron Rose Fencing)

Work with us through the teachings of Alfred Hutton, an English Fencing Master, and his numerous blending of techniques from both French and Italian influences of the Great Stick! This simple tool was used for hundreds of years to teach soldiers from many countries how to utilize large two-handed swords and later, formed the foundation for bayonet fighting!
